Older issues of the New York Times (published as far back as 1851) may be accessed through NYTimes.com by following the steps listed below:
- Access NYTimes.com through the account you created.
- Click the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner of the screen.
- Click "More" at the bottom of the menu that appears on the left.
- Click "TimesMachine."
- Type a specific date in the "Select an Issue" box.
- Click "View in TimesMachine."
