Access Services

Access Services includes many of the services provided by the Nancy Thompson Learning Commons. This department comprises Circulation, Course Reserves, Interlibrary Loan; as well as the loan of laptops and study spaces.

Kean University has an ever-growing collection of circulating books and e-books for use by students, faculty or anyone else in the Kean Community. Physical books may be found on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the library collection, and can be checked out at the front desk on the 1st floor or by using the self-service kiosk, also found on the first floor lobby. 

A current Kean University photo ID is required to borrow books.
The holder of the ID will be responsible for all materials charged against the patron's account.
A fine of $1.00 per day will be assessed for overdue books.
Fees will be assessed for damaged books. 
A fee of $55 per book will be charged for lost books. Refunds will not be given if books are returned after the payment is made.
